The Mountain Monster Scrambler event (Oct 27-29) will consist of two days with a total of 3 three challenges. This MMS will have two classes: 1.) 4x4 DOT approved vehicle and 2.)2 wheel motorcycles. (Note no side by side ATV will be allowed to compete.)  MMS supports VI3ION which is a Suicide prevention/awareness program. Oct 27: scramble will start at 5PM.  This will be a course that is both pavement and gravel road conditions.  It is 27.1 miles from start to finish with a slow speed average of 20 mph and 54mph max speed average.  All scramblers will start with 100 points with bonus points available during the course.  To earn two (2) bonus points, walking/hiking will be required to go from the route up to White Cliffs and take a photo facing east and present it at completion of day’s scramble. At the days end of the day all scores will be posted. Oct 28: scramble will start at 8AM. This course is 59.9 miles long with both pavement and dirt/gravel conditions.  The slow speed average is 15 mph and the max speed average is 55mph.  5 bonus points will be earned by walking/hiking down to Conasauga Falls, taking a photo, and presenting it at the completion of the day’s scramble.  Scoring will be conducted by a MMS representative. Oct 28: for the chance to earn and additional 15 points, a technical course will start a 1PM. This course will test the crew/rider skills and abilities. Vendors will be on site both food and vehicles parts as well.   Scrambler Scoring procedures: a. Event is timed with a designated allowed time to complete the route. b. All riders will start out 2 or 5 min apart, adjusted to amount of riders from the starting line so the riders will not feel they are being     pushed by another rider and will be able to ride the route at his or her own pace. The Crew/riders start time and end time will be recorded by a MMS representative and then points will be awarded or subtracted according to finish time. c. All crew/riders will start with 100 points at the starting of the event. d. 5 points will be subtracted for every min the crew/rider is under the designated time (     ) to complete the designated route. e. 1 points will be subtracted for every min the crew/rider is over the designated time (     ) to complete the designated route. f.  Retaining your 100 points: The rider that comes the closest to completing the designated route in the designated time, and retains closest to 100 points will be declared 1st place and the second and third rider will be declared 2nd and 3rd place based off the points closest to 100. g. Bottom line this event is not a speed event, but a predetermined timed event and speeding will lead to points being subtracted from the rider.   Cost for MMS: Crew/riders competing in the MMS will be $65.00 (1 or 2 people).  Cost will include two free T-shirts for crew or one T- shirt for single rider.  Camping is free. For none competing crew/riders that want to attend our MMS event and want to camp for the duration (Oct 27-29) the cost will be $20.00 per 4x4 each night and $15.00 per motor cycle each night.  Note: limited to 2 persons per camp site, $5 for additional people. One day passes can be purchased at the gate for $10.00.  Children under 10 years of age are free as long as accompanied by adult. Note: electric and water are available and limited for additional $20.00 each night. Showers are free on site for all attending this event.
